Law Ball

An event that needs no introduction, the annual Maples Law Ball is the pride and joy of our society, and the place to be come Hilary term. With all the glitz of a red carpet event but with the same loose law heads you encounter all year, Law Ball offers not only a 3 course meal, a poppin’ band and teddies for all, it also offers the most sterling after-parties you can handle.

Swing Ball

A touch of class for those of you ballin’ before the ball season kicks in. Sponsored by Matheson, our jazz-filled, dolled-up do in the Shelbourne Hotel will keep your dancing shoes occupied for one of the most swingin’ nights of the year.

The first of our major night-out events kicks off in October when Law Soc members are transported to a mystery castle in the back end of beyond, to party with their masks on until the early hours .... Think dark and mysterious castle corridors, never ending woods, and a banquet room full of strobe lights. Think Law Soc’s loosest night of the year.umsan id, mea adhuc invenire te. Mel causae labitur molestiae ne, an labore invidunt explicari per. Eum id singulis signiferumque. Nulla consequat ad usu. Semper debitis alienum his ea, et docendi legendos his.

International Trip

Amsterdam ‘13, Berlin ‘14, Barcelona ‘15, Budapest '16. Every year Law Soc takes over a city you’ve probably inter-railed to and does lots of cultural outings for three days, with perhaps a visit to a ‘discotheque’ or two thrown in.

Tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to save up the pennies over the Christmas break! Or tell your parents it’s for a contract law textbook.

Galway Trip

Law Soc’s Galway trip each October is many first year students’ formal introduction to both Law Soc and to concepts like ‘too much’, ‘the gumball challenge’ and ‘shame’. Chiefly that last one. This trip is held sacrosanct by members – it’s a chance for first year students to get to know one another a little better at the start of the year, second years to get to know the first years, for third years to pretend they’re enjoying not being on Erasmus and for fourth years to go on an almighty session now reunited with their mates who were abroad. The trip successfully intersperses a variety of nature walks with museum visits and artisan food tasting, three things that are central to the college scene in the Wesht. Cans on the bus may or may not feature.
